Anonymous Comrade 12/30/2019 (Mon) 06:06:05 No. 1491
ITT: vidya where USA soldiers are main enemies and you get to shoot them
>>1491 note, I mean in the story mode. not multiplayer.
When do you attack US soldiers in MGS 5? From what I’ve seen it’s only soviet soldiers in Afghanistan.
>>1493 In Ground Zeroes you sneak into Gitmo and all the enemies are US soldiers. Yes in Afghanistan (in the main part of MGSV) most enemies are Soviet troops. The third part of MGSV takes place in Africa and you shoot UNITA.
>>1491 You can kill US soldiers in all the Grand Theft Auto games.
>>1496 though they're not the usual enemies, this is true. I think GTA gets away without an uproar from modern bootlickers because they understand it reinforces lumpen consciousness and isn't a threat to capital.
Red Faction has you fighting Earth, which is basically just sci-fi NATO, in order to liberate Mars from space-colonialism
>>1498 >>in order to liberate Mars from space-colonialism Empire Earth's expansion has a campaign with a similar premise.
>>1491 You can make scenarios in ARMA 3 where you can do this, since you can play OPFOR. It is not the main story, but nobody says you can't make up your own story and use the editor as you please.

New Russian sspecial forces game called Калибр, where you can play certain roles in a special forces team against another one. There are some foreign teams like US Special forces, but most focus is on ex-Soviet special forces. https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9A%D0%B0%D0%BB%D0%B8%D0%B1%D1%80_(%D0%B8%D0%B3%D1%80%D0%B0)

>>1501 multiplayer games don't count, otherwise battlefield is anti-imperialist https://youtu.be/S0aXAm0jqd0 it's okay to shoot an American in multiplayer but not in singleplayer, not sure why that's the status quo we arrived at but idk
>>1496 You can kill jews in gta 4
>>1502 >not sure why that's the status quo we arrived at but idk Most modern shooters have to ask the pentagon to agree to what enemy they use in each game. The weapon models had to have a license to even be put in a game. This is why most games today looks like imperialist propaganda because they literally are.

>>1502 counterstrike source has a singleplayer/offline mode
>>1505 don't be a pedant, you know what i meant
Mercenaries 2 lets you shoot up a Texan PMC and later side with based Xi against the American government trying to intervene in Venezuela to promote the Texan PMC's interests There is also the PLAV, or People's Liberation Army of Venezuela, who is armed with all kinds of Cold War equipment you can use as well. Better yet, at the end of the game, if you side with the Americans they stab you in the back, but if you side with the Chinese they keep their word and help you out.
you know I'm trying to get into game development myself, if it goes well, I promise I'll make a cod ripoff but you play as communists all the time.

This prequel MGSV ground zeroes for my frens who haven't played yet
Really is something else hearing the entire NVA team using global voice chat to spam "GO HOME GI"
Haze campaign stars an US attack dog who defects to totally not chavez' venezuela to shoot americans for the rest of the campaign. It's a fucking trash game though, do not play it
>>1495 incredibly based game
>>1495 I love this game
>>1491 An excellent oldie Russian game, Silent Storm, most particular the "Hammer and Sickle" expansion. Also - Death to Spies, although you go against glow in the darks.
>>2086 I remember when everyone said that Haze was going to be the big next thing. Sandro Sammarco ruins every game he has ever touched.
>>3053 >get sent on recon mission >go completely off script and start WW3 Absolutely based plot
>>3108 >Absolutely based plot I hope you realize that "starting WWIII" is a "bad end" for failing one of the main tasks, and there's much more to the game plot?
>>3229 It was a long time ago, I can hardly remember. I assumed there were other endings but I thought that being told specifically it's a recon mission and then going around Germany(?) shooting up the garrison and police etc in broad daylight in the middle of the city and then bombing a prison and busting everyone out and causing WW3 was hilarious. Can you do that without starting WW3? If so you've played a worse game than I have. I assumed it was the consequence of being a moron and basically launching an armed incursion, not ignoring some task.
>>3232 >but I thought that being told specifically it's a recon mission and then going around Germany(?) shooting up the garrison and police etc in broad daylight in the middle of the city and then bombing a prison and busting everyone out and causing WW3 was hilarious. Yes, but you wasn't supposed to do it Anakin! You were sent to dismantle the efforts of a mysterious enemy to frame the Soviet Union for attacks, not commit them yourself! >Can you do that without starting WW3? Not only that, the game is much longer than what you get if you enter failstate early. There is a neutral end: Usual history There is a good end (for completing all critical objectives and making a choice): America does a Right Wing purge, and ejects from NATO, NATO collapses. Also, personal ends: you get arrested/you are decorated (and later killed by the remnant of your mysterious enemy), you knock up your mysterious comrade.
>>1491 The WW-2 CoD lets you play as a Jap and raid US forces.
Wait which one? I don't remember any WW2 CoD that let you do that beyond standard multiplayer factions. The only one that actually included the Japs was WaW which had the reverse in the campaign.
>>1497 >they're not the usual enemies In VC:Stories you are a soldier who goes against his corrupt superior. Though in this case it is depicted as a "bad apple" and not as a systemic problem as it is irl.
