Alright as someone who was a fucking idiot 3 years ago when I had payed all my bills and was just sitting around with money from my summer job and ended up buying a Vive just to stop myself from buying crack(I should have gone with the crack tbh) I got Alyx and here's what I have to say about it: It's meh. Like if this wasn't a VR game it would be burned at the fucking stake for being so horribly average: There's only 4 guns(Decided to take a note from Bethesda and that gun customization made cutting the arsenal in half was OK), combat is meh at best since enemies are all bullet sponges and you can't keep a track of where your body is because you know VR. Graphics are nice but it has the same loading system as Half-Life 1 in that you go 20 feet of some tunnel before changing levels. That being said it's probably the best damn VR game I've ever played due to the fact that it's a decent game, most VR games are either $20 tech demos that have one gimmick and then lose their charm after 30 minutes or are a regular game that has VR support, so having an actual full length game being built around VR and has really good controls as well is amazing. That's not praise for the game btw, it's just the utter state of the VR industry right now. No, Skyrim/Fallout 4 don't count
>>1438 The problem with VR is it's expensive bullshit and there's 40 different versions of it. It's also usually a closed system. IDK if Valve's version is open or not. They have a history of supporting DIY and tinkering with their products, but they've moved away from that sort of mentality toward grasping at every nickel and dime they can get, being a monopoly on digital game sales now.
Is Half-Life Alyx good enough that I should try and avoid spoilers for potentially multiple years before I play it? I keep hearing the ending is mind blowing, which makes me want to see it and avoid it at the same time. >>1432 I'm necroposting here, but one must-have mod for HL2 is MMod. Basically, it takes vanilla HL2 and makes the combat actually good with revamped AI and new weapon models and ballistics. Worth it just for the MMod shotgun, it's fucking amazing, hard to describe why but it's my favorite shotgun in an FPS.
>>1442 um sorry sweaty but half alyx life is the best VR game of all time and deserves all the GOTY awards and should be enshrined in a hall of fame you're just mad because alyx is half black so it makes you want to say the gaymer word have sex incel

>>5725 He left his country because of war and lack of opportunity to become involved with the Russian mob and only then went to the US. Going to the US and the degeneracy were incidental, plus he clearly dislikes capitalism and can observe and display contempt for the enhanced alienation of the cosmopolitan libs he encounters in Liberty City (which is basically NY)
he's a lumpy, stalin robbed banks too

Hoi4 Modder, Mexican 03/13/2020 (Fri) 23:20:30 No. 5731 [Reply] [Last]
I am a modder for Hearts of Iron IV and I'm currently updating my old mod. My main issue is that I need loading screens/menu screens. The image given is a filler so I'm looking for something different. The images need to be 1920x1440, and they SHOULD be appropriate to have on the Steam Workshop. Thanks!

>>5751 They're not actively developing content for it rn because they are focused on other games (like HL:A), so its up to the community to keep the game alive. Luckily because Source is easily moddable (and community servers with custom content are a thing) the TF2 community itself can basically take over development by releasing their own updates on community-run servers as was seen with creators.tf's christmas event. https://www.gamerevolution.com/news/625620-team-fortress-2-community-custom-servers
>>5752 I just hope the community finds a way to bring back the lost graphical fidelity taken by Valve before the game focused on selling hats. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=w1W5DU4zmAA

World of Guns: Gun Disassembly Anonymous Comrade 02/12/2020 (Wed) 07:20:32 No. 5801 [Reply] [Last]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_of_Guns:_Gun_Disassembly >World of Guns: Gun Disassembly is a cross-genre simulation and puzzle video game that allows the player to operate and disassemble various firearms, as well as other mechanisms like automobiles, AFVs and aircraft. It was released in 2014 for Windows[1] and Facebook, and has been subsequently ported to the social network VK, as well as OS X, iOS, and Android platforms. The game is a follow-up on the same developer's Gun Disassembly series, first released in 2010,[2] expanding on the latter's feature set and library of interactive models. >The software can be used as both an interactive firearms reference source and encyclopedia,[3] and a casual puzzle game with a goal of disassembling and assembling models in the correct sequence and in the least possible time. Platform(s) Android Facebook iOS Mac OS X Windows SteamOS VK

thanks based OP I cannot legally own gun in my country but such knowledge will come in handy for science . https://ultimate-disassembly.com/ does this webgl version contain all the models or is full version at steam worth buying?
>>5805 The full version on Steam is free also but it features a freemium model where you buy extra guns and things. You don't get that many guns with the base game but it's still neato I guess.
>>5805 Thanks based anonymous comrade for posting WebGL version, I didn't want this linked to fedbook.
>>5806 ye for practical purposes we shouldn't need to learn anything beyond ARs that are being utilized by armies around the world and base game seems to cover most of them. kind of shame I cannot find pirated version of it

Steam and possibly other online digital distribution stores will be forced to let you resell games you buy from them if EU wins court case.

Would this be a win for socialism, komrades?

I really believe we should just make a communist party for the eu and take over it, didn't have much of a problem with it so far.
>>1470 I would rather not be stuck with browser games. I want something a little more involved than a low effort Skinner box that is designed to suck money out of my wallet.
>>1487 >I would rather not be stuck with browser games.I want something a little more involved than a low effort Skinner box that is designed to suck money out of my wallet. Well there is no reason why browser-games ought to be low effort, but if you want to install software locally, then you need to improve the software development tools to the extend that normies can modify software. As in have in-game-code-editing with program-logic-visualisation, as well as coding-aids that have a high level of idiot proofing.
they could tax those trades much like they allready do with the community market. this could just serve as an extension to that community market.
You know when you bump ancient threads by contributing nothing meaningful, it doesn't actually make people want to re-engage with them.

Each installment strips features. Fallout 4 removed skills, so TES6 probably won't have them either. It'll probably play like the mobile TES game.
>>5782 What DLC did you prefer, anon?
